Where will you land on Mars? You need to choose & present a landing site on Mars taking into account its  geography & geology.

Two places on mars to land:

The first possible landing site is the Planum Boreum or the northern polar plain. The northern polar plain holds the largest source of water on the planet Mars. In the martian winter a layer of carbon dioxide ic or dry ice forms 1.5 to 2 meters over the surface of the water ice but it sublimates in the summer. I propose we land near the ice cap and bring drilling equipment to obtain water and then melt it for a water source.

The second possibility for the landing is the Ares Vallis. The Ares Vallis is the flattest surface on mars and there is evidence of it being eroded by a fluid such as water. It has been the landing site for the mars pathfinder rover and has already been scouted.
